About COVID-19

Similar to the flu, COVID-19 spreads primarily through close contact with individuals showing symptoms or by touching shared surfaces. To protect yourself and others, please follow these guidelines:

  • Social Distancing: Maintain a safe distance from others in public spaces. Use proper techniques when coughing or sneezing, such as covering with a tissue or your elbow, to prevent the spread of droplets.

  • Mask Wearing: Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth in public has been proven to reduce the spread of COVID-19. This is particularly important in situations where social distancing may not be feasible.

  • Handwashing: Wash your hands thoroughly using recommended techniques—scrub with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Monitor for Symptoms: Watch for signs of illness such as fever, chills, cough, loss of taste or smell, shortness of breath, or other cold-like symptoms. These may indicate a COVID-19 infection.
