Visit Extended Care when your primary care provider isn’t available, and you need treatment for:

  • Sprains and strains (e.g., fingers)
  • Upper respiratory infections, flu, fever, and sore throat
  • Ear infections
  • Allergy flare-ups
  • Minor cuts and injuries needing stitches
  • Nausea
  • Back pain
  • Bug and insect bites
  • Sunburns
  • Painful urination
  • Nosebleeds


If you’re experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.  

Seek emergency care for:

  • Chest pain
  • Severe or sudden pain
  • Trouble breathing
  • Head trauma
  • Sudden vision changes
  • Difficulty speaking
  • Sudden confusion or dizziness
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Vomiting or coughing up blood
  • Major fractures (e.g., leg)
  • Uncontrolled bleeding
